Sporting Weston Come Out On Top Against Kenn Valley

<p>Kenn Valley were at home to Sporting Weston in there Third game of the season. With both Teams being promoted from Division 2 in last season this was always going to be a good well fought game. <p>The game started at a fast tempo with both teams offering good counter attacking football. It was not long before Sporting had there first chance of the game when a misplaced back pass found the Sporting Striker who stuck straight at Stu Wilson, A lucky escape for Valley. <p>Kenn Valley then had a good chance to go ahead when the ball dropped to Nath Preddy in the box however the rushing Sporting Keeper did enough to smother the ball & prevent a goal. As the first half wore on Sporting started coming out on top with a constant wave of attacks however not penetrating the KVFC back 4 who stood strong. <p>HALF TIME: KVFC 0 - 0 Sporting Weston <p>The second half was equally as well paced as the first with both teams trying there best to break the deadlock. It was Sporting who finally did when a long throw into the box found Sporting CM who wriggled away from the Valley defender & tucked the ball home into the corner. <p>With Valley trying everything to get back into the game they were now more seceptible to the counter attack however Valley were starting to have more possesion of the ball. Zach Michell created Valley's best chance of the second half when he drove past his full back & cut the ball back to Dan Andrews. The ball rebounding back from the keeper & Michell putting the ball just past the post. <p>It was soon over for Valley as 15 minutes from time Sporting broke through the middle & an excellent first time save from Stu Wilson later came back out to the Sporting Midfielder who struck a stinging shot from 30 yards.
