vs vs Cleeve West Town Reserves
Away league match

Kenn Valley's second game of the season was away to Cleeve West Town Reserves.

Valley started the better of the two teams with more possesion & the better of chances. The first coming early in the game when a well played through ball by Zach Michell to Nathan Preddy left him 1 v 1 with the keeper. The Keeper coming off better of the two. It was not long before Valley created a second chance, a well worked short corner by Josh Davies & Ben Stanley left Ryan Mogg in room to have a strike which whistled inches past the keepers top corner.

It was however Valley who fell behind after Dan Andrews was caught with the ball in his final third. The Cleeve striker seeing his first shot well saved by Stu Wilson only to finish the rebound.

Half Time: Cleeve 1 - 0 KVFC

The second half started well for Cleeve who applied pressure from the first whistle. 10 minutes into the 2nd half & they had there second goal. A struck ball into the box found its way through to the Cleeve striker who tucked the ball away into the corner. Valley players were determined for an offside but not given.

5 minutes later & Valley were 3 - 0 down. A break down the left hand side saw a shot blocked on the line by Mogg only for the ball to fall back into the strikers path who tucked the ball into the corner with ease.

Valley had a big hole to climb from & were given the luck of the draw when a ball into the box from Cleeve saw the CB rise highest heading the ball into the corner. The referee awarding a freekick for a push in the back of the Valley Defender. It seemed to be a turning point in the game as it was moments after a struck shot by Ben Stanley found its way to Ricky Smith in the box who tucked the ball into the corner. 18 minutes to go & Valley had a lifeline. The goal seemed to give Valley a boost as the Cleeve players started sitting deep in there half & Valley having all the ball. It was 5 minutes before the final whistle when a long diagonal ball by Dan Andrews created a mistake between keeper & defender & found Smith for a second time in the box who passed the ball into an empty net. Valley finally completed the comeback with some great football. An excellent switch of play from Ben Davies to Zach Michell. Playing a good first time ball down the line to Andrews who found a perfect cross to Smith waiting for a tap in at the back post to complete an excellent comeback & an 18 minute hattrick.
