KVFC Into The Semi-Finals Of The Cup

<p>KVFC played a tuff game in the Quarter Final of the Knockout cup this week away to a very good Portihead team who had previously won this cup 2 years running & were currently unbeaten in there Division 2 season.&nbsp;<p>Valley started the better of the 2 teams when a chance Fell to Ryan Mogg on the 10 minute mark. A well played diagonal freekick left Mogg free at the back post only 5 yards out. Mogg however getting under the ball & putting it over the bar. Valley made the pressure count when on the 25th minute some good football starting at Right Back with Zach Michell ended with an easy cross to Josh Davies who resulted in putting the ball in the net from 6 yards out.&nbsp;<p>HT - Portishead Cali Thistle 0 - 1 KVFC<p>The second half certainly changed momentum with Cali seeking a goal to level things & it was on the 60th minute when the Cali striker struck the ball well from 20 yards passed Stu Wilson in the Valley goal.&nbsp;<p>With the game twisting & turning it would have to be decided in ET or PENS&nbsp;<p>FT - Portishead Cali Thistle 1 - 1 KVFC<p>Extra Time<p>With both teams keeping the tempo strong up it was Cali who must have thought they had won it when on the 100th minute a bouncing ball in the box was pounced upon by the Cali midfielder who placed the ball out of Wilson's reach & into the corner.&nbsp;<p>Again it was the momentum that turned when with 2 minutes to go a freekick around 25 yards out was well struck by Ben Stanley & Valley had equalized. A deflection on the way through helping put it out of reach from the keeper but a well deserved equalizer.&nbsp;<p>EXTRA TIME - Full Time - Portishead Cali Thistle 2 - 2 KVFC<p>It was to go down to penalties.&nbsp;<p>PENALTY SHOOTOUT SCORE - Portishead Cali Thistle 5 - 6 KVFC<p>A-Y-S Cleaning Services MOTM was given this week to 2 players both Zach Michell & Louis Vowles who had outstanding games.&nbsp;<p>To view the penalty shootout please see the attached video.&nbsp;
