Heddon 3-4 Bardon Mill

A fast start from Heddon saw Will Hedley latch on to a mistake to take the lead after a high press.

A game of set piece woe began with the Bardon Mill equaliser a header inside six yard box for 1-1.

Then some individual brilliance from Carl Houston made it 2-1 as he took his goal like a true #9.

Then the game changing moment. A ‘People’s Elbow’ from the leagues main man ended Carl’s game and the game restarted with ball back to the keeper... shortly after that a clear offside goal was given to level it up.

JODP was 40 yards behind play allegedly.

Then the Rock popped up with an unmarked header to make it 2-3.

Half time came and went and Heddon continued to keep ball on the deck and make chances.

A fizzing corner into the box levelled the game with an OG. 3-3.

Heddon continued to create and Frank and Will both seemed efforts saved or close to a shot on target.

Bardon Mill broke from a corner and a free header at the back post which the keeper should save made it 3-4.

Heddon hit the post late on but couldn’t pinch the point they deserved.

Against a team that have walked the league last two years Heddon have more positives than negatives to take from the game.
