Crime FC faced MMC Boyz at Sports Heaven, Sylhet on 4 April 2026 in a 6-a-side friendly match that kicked off promptly at 12:00pm. The encounter, lasting 50 minutes plus added time, ended in a thrilling but one-sided 12-5 victory for MMC Boyz.
Crime FC lined up in a 2-2-1 formation, deploying two central defenders, Sabbir Hossen and Istiak Haque, tasked with shielding goalkeeper Muhammad Ahnaf. In midfield, Olid Ahmed and Mazharul Islam operated centrally, expected to link defence and attack while supporting both ends of the pitch. Leading the line was striker Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar, the focal point of Crime FC’s offensive efforts. On the bench, Tahmidur Rahman was available as the sole substitute.
The match burst into life early when Crime FC took the lead in the fifth minute. Mazharul Islam found the net, expertly assisted by Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar, signalling an optimistic start for the home side. However, MMC Boyz responded swiftly, scoring three goals in quick succession between the 11th and 16th minutes, overturning the deficit and putting Crime FC on the back foot.
Crime FC fought back admirably with Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar restoring parity in the 19th minute, this time set up by Mazharul Islam. Yet MMC Boyz were relentless, scoring again in the 20th minute. Crime FC’s striker then struck twice more before half-time, netting in the 22nd minute from an assist by Istiak Haque and again in the 24th minute with a pass from Kawsar, bringing the scoreline to a tense 5-6.
At half-time, the teams went in with MMC Boyz narrowly ahead. Crime FC made a tactical substitution immediately after the break, replacing central defender Sabbir Hossen with Tahmidur Rahman to shore up their defensive line and inject fresh energy.
The second half quickly turned into a goal fest dominated by MMC Boyz. They scored six goals between the 28th and 39th minutes, extending their lead decisively. Crime FC managed a consolation goal in the 34th minute when Mazharul Islam scored again, this time assisted by substitute Tahmidur Rahman, showing their fighting spirit despite the mounting deficit.
Amid the flurry of goals, MMC Boyz received a red card in the 32nd minute, reducing their numbers temporarily. However, this did little to stem their attacking momentum as they continued to find the net repeatedly.
Crime FC’s defensive line, marshalled by Istiak Haque and Olid Ahmed, struggled to contain the relentless pressure from MMC Boyz, who exploited spaces and capitalised on quick transitions. Muhammad Ahnaf in goal was kept busy throughout but was ultimately unable to prevent the flood of goals.
Despite the heavy defeat, Crime FC’s attacking trio of Mazharul Islam, Imtiaz Ahmed Kawsar, and Istiak Haque showed moments of quality, combining for several goals and assists. The tactical substitution of Tahmidur Rahman also paid dividends with a direct contribution to a goal.
The match concluded with MMC Boyz triumphant 12-5 in a high-scoring, end-to-end contest that showcased attacking prowess but exposed defensive frailties in Crime FC’s setup. This friendly provided valuable match practice and highlighted areas for improvement ahead of more competitive fixtures.
