In a gripping league encounter at Lochend High School, the Carbrain Clarets 2011's edged past BSC Glasgow 2011 with a final score of 2-1 on 21 December 2024. The match kicked off at 10:30 am, showcasing a fierce battle between two determined sides, with the Clarets ultimately securing the victory through a standout performance from Kai Logan.

The match was heavily influenced by horrendous weather conditions and around the 55th minute, hail, wind, thunder, and lightning swept the field. But the clarets boys stepped up and dug deep.

The Clarets adopted a 4-1-4-1 formation, which allowed them to maintain a solid defensive structure while providing ample support to their attacking players. Theo Stevenson took his place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of Riely Brady on the right, Jacob Thomson on the left, and the central defensive pairing of Daniel Abdulrahman and Ryan Cherry. Kai Logan operated as the lone central midfielder, tasked with linking play between defence and attack. The attacking midfield trio featured Aidan Donnelly on the right, Ciar McKlusky in the centre, and Ruadh Greene on the left, with Leandro Schammas leading the line as the striker. The substitutes for the match included Connor McMahon, Ashton Allison who took a bad tackle and finally cebrail oner.

The match began with both teams probing for weaknesses, but it was the Clarets who made the first tactical change following a yellow card, substituting Aidan Donnelly for Connor McMahon in the 26th minute. This switch aimed to inject fresh energy into the right flank , allowing the Clarets to exploit any gaps in the BSC defence. Shortly after, in the 29th minute, Ciar McKlusky made way for Cebrail, further altering the dynamics of the Clarets' team.

The breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when Kai Logan found the net, courtesy of an assist from Ruadh Greene. Logan's well-placed shot from an indirect free kick showcased his composure in front of goal, giving the Clarets a deserved lead. However, the joy was short-lived as BSC Glasgow responded swiftly, equalising straight after in the 35th minute. The Clarets were left to regroup as the first half concluded with the score level at 1-1.

As the second half unfolded, the Clarets continued to press for a winner, and their persistence paid off in the dying moments of the match. In the 71st minute, Kai Logan struck again, this time from a direct free kick taken from outside the box. His right-footed effort curled beautifully into the net, leaving the BSC goalkeeper with no chance and sealing a memorable brace for the midfielder.

With the final whistle, the Carbrain Clarets celebrated a hard-fought victory in such tough conditions, demonstrating SQUAD and team resilience and tactical awareness throughout the match. The Clarets' ability to adapt and respond to challenges on the pitch proved crucial, as they now look to build on this success in their upcoming fixtures.
