We welcomed back Neil and Tony from injury, although Neil was feeling his knee a bit and ended up deputising for Tyson in goal for 40 minutes or so. Not before scoring the games opener though.

They equalised before half time and it was pretty even.

Second half Stu C masterminded a move away from zonal marking and did a job on their tall very useful centre forward.

Ben and Tony combined for an excellent goal and from there on there was only 1 winner.

Ringer A was an oppo player called Nathan, who came on for Ponting who was moonlighting in the Fosters World Cup. He was useful and scored.

Tony rounding off the win.

Nice game, oppo are good sports, even the guy I kicked in the shins, who had to go off injured. No shin pads, which is reckless in my opinion.

I had a lucky interception which unexpectedly put me in on goal, to be fair still quite a way out. "Shoot!" shouted Tommy. So for some strange reason I hit in from miles out with my left, rather than moving it onto my right (which might not have had a different outcome, to be fair). I skewed well wide. "Well, that was shit" said Tom. He wasn't wrong.
