Chirnside Colts 0 vs 2 BIGGAR FC

Biggars motivation was to keep their 100% league record and maintain their advantage over the other contenders.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">With Biggar taking an extra time exit from the&nbsp; Sanderson Cup back in January at the same venue the game&nbsp; was poised to be a tough contest.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Biggar&nbsp; got off to the perfect start after only 2 minutes&nbsp; when a Watson corner from the right was directed high into the net from the boot of Roberts.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Biggar had to reshuffle after 20 minutes when the influential Gibb limped off and was replaced with Dupre before the battle could continue.

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">On the half hour a chink appeared in the Chirnside rear-guard when Sheridan won a header to send Watson one-on-one with the centre back, the striker cutting inside before slamming the ball past the keeper from 15 yards.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">Ferguson was unlucky 5 minutes later when his low shot came off the base of the post before rebounding into the keepers arms.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">&nbsp;3 minutes into the second half a Watson corner looked net bound from the head of Laurie but the skipper was denied glory with a miraculous header off the line by a Chirnside defender.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">To&nbsp; their credit Chirnside kept battling to get back into the&nbsp; game but Biggar showed that they were more than capable of dealing with whatever the Hosts could throw at them.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;">This was a great team performance from Biggar with ever player contributing to seal this important win. With Gordon beating Tweedmouth it was a really good weekend for Biggar.
