Rovers Lose Hard Thought Game 2-1 Top Of The League

<p>Today's game saw rover take on top of the league Eldon Celtic who had won 9 out of 9 there was a couple of changes to the team today

<p>Chris cordery came in for mike Rundle in goal & Adam Lee came in for his debut for the injured Liam Naish.

<p>Eldon Celtic have on fire this season beating teams 6,7,8,9s to 0

<p>Game started off with Eldon having a lot of the ball and they made that count after 7 mins when a shot came in witch keeper cordery saved hit LB Connor Naish on the back went back towards the goals and LM Matt Hall couldn't stop it going over the line

<p>5 mins later Eldon scored again with a move down the right hand side the winger got to the touch line pulled it back to the forward on the edge of the box he turned 3 players on the turn and smashed it with in the bottom left corner.

<p>After the second goal rovers went back to basics and went 4-1-4-1 and started to get a foothold in the game forward Adam Lee was work hard up top on his own chasing balls down the wing and making it hard for defenders.

<p>Adam lee had a couple of shots that just went wide of the post but rovers were playing a bit better and was starting to look like the better side then HT came

<p>At half time Nick Lawrence came on for Ricky Thompson and went RB & moved Ryan Hilton into midfield

<p>2nds half started well for rovers who knocked the ball around nicely then 5 mins in rovers got the goal they needed it came from Dale Beeches

<p>The goal came from a ball played from midfielder Lewis Woodgates witch forward Adam Lee chased down made the GK miss control and fell to Dale beeches right foot and knocked it into a empty net from 20 yards

<p>Connor Naish was getting on the ball a lot more in the 2nd half and was making things tick in the midfield winger Ryan Hilton was a outlet on the right with his pace and CB Adam battiemlli & Brian Parr were solid at CB with Nick & Dom at full backs

<p>Rovers had a couple of half chances Woodgates hit the post Lee had a 1on 1 witch the kepper saved

<p>Eldon Celtic looked lost at times and never really tested GK cordery all 2nd half

<p>

<p>Eldon broke away from a rovers attacking move and the forward was fouled by (I think ) Lewis Woodgates

<p>The about 25 yards out in the centre of the box. The forward of Eldon Celtic his a thunder bolt witch was flying into the top corner but GK Cordery tipped the free kick

<p>Onto the inside of the post and then got up to pullb the ball into his arms

<p>Hall had a chance with 5 mins to go but chose to pass rather than shoot from just outside the box Then forward Lee hit a volley just over the bard with 30 seconds left

<p>It was team MOTM but if I had to pick 1 Lewis Woodgates would just edge it in front of Adam Lee
