First 3 Points Of The Season!

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Our first away game of the season, got off to a flyer.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The Beechwood team looked far more dangerous getting the ball down and controlling the game from the very start.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Our Keeper had very little to do in the first half apart from a few throwouts & by kicks.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The Defence looked stronger with Griff winning more and more in the air as the game went on, Lee clearing up anything that dropped in behind them & Tumbles pace which we had been lacking previously back there.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Some lovely stuff was played from our midfield trio of Andy, Div & Peter.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">They kept the ball for long spells from the Milton team and wee colin was his usual brilliant self down 1 wing and wee Darren starting to look a bit more comfortable on the left (Even getting on the scoresheet) The First goal was a cracker 5 mins before half time.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The selfless work of Mclure up top was rewarded with a free kick given against him,

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The official match report says it was 35yards/Sky sports had it down as 40/The guy beside me at the pitch side said it was a by-kick.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Anyway, the distance didn&rsquo;t matter, as the ball was passed into the top corner from wee Andy who left the keeper stranded.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">We came in at half time a goal up but should have been more with the chances we created.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">The start of the 2nd was very much the same for the boys, Solid defending, great passing from the all the midfielders with Lee & McLure constantly testing the home teams defence. It wasn&rsquo;t a surprise when wee Darren slotted away from inside the 6yard box to make it 2 nil.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">We constantly pressed & were rewarded with a 3rd when Mclure slotted 1 across goal for Lee to score.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">After a few changes, the game seemed to go flat and thats when the home team had their 10min spell and scoring from a scramble.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">All in It was a good result and a well deserved 3 points for The Beechwood boys.
