Titans Turf Out 9 To Start The New Year !

<p>After The Titans GK, Matthew Farrer was unfortunately dismissed 10mins in , Titans had it all to do against bottom club Turf FC.

<p>Danny Longley took up the responsibility of stepping between the sticks as The Home side started to dominate early on. Chance after chance went begging as both top scorer Mick Dougan along with Gareth Dorber & Captain Anthony Preston went close time after time. Turf GK kept the visitors in the game with some great saves.

<p>The deadlock was finally broken by the 10 men on 30mins when Mick Dougan pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the box to finally beat the Turf keeper low into the corner of the net. Mick then doubled his tally after an exquisite ball from Gareth Dorber on 39mins who himself netted 5 minutes later to make it 3-0 going into the break.

<p>More of the same from AFC Titans as the second half got under way when Anthony Preston neatly put in Mark Lajca from an indirect free kick. Not to be out done Mick Dougan notched up his 7th League hatrick of the season from a second Gareth Dorber Assist on 48mins.

<p>Titans stepped off the pressure as the tired and a lapse in concentration gifted a Turf conciliation on 75mins as stand in keeper Danny Longley failed to keep a clean sheet.

<p>Back on with the pressure The Home side looked to make good some goal difference.80mins and Mick Dougan bagged another and then a penalty on 82 after some brillant work down the right from Man of The Match Ricky Hurst.

<p>85mins and top assist maker Anthony Preston snatched a goal after substitute Liam Price floated a divine cross over to the back post.

<p>As the game came to an end Mick Dougan added a 9th and 6 on the day to give The Titans a much needed victory to start the New Year.
