AFC Ttans 3-2 Pudsey Athletic FC

After a slow start AFC Titans battled to the end for all 3 points against a very good Pudsey side.

Another change in defensive formation or The Home side wasn`t ideal as Pudsey got off to a flying start as Adam Cole lobbed injury stricken keeper Matty Farrer in the 1st minute.

Not to be deterred a change in goals for The Titans for Mark McNulty proved fruitful as The Home side settled into their stride.

Some nice interplay from Liam & Danny Price down the right wing had the Blues level on 15 minutes. A nice floating cross from Liam to Anthony Preston in the opposing 6 yard box as he made no mistake to slot home from close range.

The Titans solid defense was breached again on 20 minutes as Adam Cole got his 2nd for The Visitors after a bad clearance from stand in keeper Mark McNulty.

HT:1-2

Straight from the off in the second 45 , Titans pressured Pudsey to the limit. Strong tackles from M.O.M. Sam `Bam Bam` Thornton & Gareth Dorber proved too much for Athletic in midfield.

It was an intricate pass from inform left back Danny Price that put top scorer Mick Dougan in for the equalizer just 5 mins from the off. Mick was first to the ball in the box as he slotted into the far post out of reach of the Pudsey keeper.

More pressure from The Titans ensued as they managed to go in front for the first time after Danny Price again put Mick in for his 2nd and subsequently his 46th of the season , to give The Home side the lead.

Pudsey pressured to the end with numerous consecutive corners. 3 extra time minutes wasn`t enough for them to pull level and The Titans held out for all 3 points.

FT: 3-2
