The Worthing and District Football League was an amateur football league based in Sussex, England. It was founded in 1902 and had four divisions: Premier, First, Second, and Third. The league was absorbed into the Brighton, Hove & District Football League in 2014.

History

The Worthing and District Football League was founded in 1902. The inaugural season consisted of 10 teams, and the first champions were Broadwater. The league expanded over the years, and by the 1970s it had four divisions.

The league was known for its competitive nature, and many talented players have come through its ranks. Some of the most notable players to have played in the league include:

  • Alan Curbishley (former Charlton Athletic and West Ham United manager)
  • Steve Davis (former Brighton & Hove Albion and England international)
  • Mark Fish (former Tottenham Hotspur and South Africa international)
  • Paul Konchesky (former Charlton Athletic, West Ham United, and Liverpool player)
  • Glenn Murray (current Brighton & Hove Albion player)

The league was absorbed into the Brighton, Hove & District Football League in 2014. The decision was made due to declining participation rates and financial difficulties.
