History

The Wimbledon & District Football League was founded in 1899 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just four divisions, but it has since expanded to 10 divisions.

The league has been home to some notable players over the years, including former England internationals Geoff Hurst and Jimmy Greaves.

Current Structure

The Wimbledon & District Football League currently has 36 clubs competing in 10 divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, which is followed by Division One, Division Two, and so on.

The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other twice. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next division.
