The West Midlands Christian Football League (WMCFL) is an amateur football league for men's teams in the West Midlands region of England. It was founded in 1984 and currently has over 50 teams competing in two divisions.
The WMCFL was founded in 1984 by a group of Christian footballers who wanted to create a league where they could play the sport they loved while also sharing their faith. The league started with just six teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 50 teams.
The WMCFL is affiliated with the Football Association (FA) and follows its rules and regulations. The league also has its own disciplinary code, which is designed to ensure that all teams play in a fair and competitive manner.
The WMCFL currently has two divisions: Division 1 and Division 2. Division 1 is the top division and is made up of the strongest teams in the league. Division 2 is the second division and is made up of the teams that are not quite as strong as those in Division 1.
The teams in each division play each other twice during the season, once at home and once away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
In addition to the regular league season, the WMCFL also organizes a number of cup competitions. The most prestigious cup competition is the WMCFL Challenge Cup, which is open to all teams in the league. Other cup competitions include the WMCFL League Cup and the WMCFL President's Cup.
