National Blind Football League

The National Blind Football League (NBF) is an amateur football league for blind and partially sighted players in England. It was founded in 2010 and is currently made up of four teams: Albion in the Community, Merseyside Blind & V.I F.C., Royal National College for the Blind, and Sheffield United Blind Football Club.

Rules

The rules of blind football are similar to those of regular football, with a few modifications to accommodate the players' visual impairments. The most significant difference is that the players wear blindfolds. This is done to ensure that all players are on an equal playing field.

The ball has bells inside it so that the players can hear it.
The players use a guide, who is a sighted person who helps them to navigate the field and find the ball.
The goals are larger than regular football goals to make it easier for the players to score.

Season

The NBF season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season play in a playoff to determine the champions.

VenuesThe NBF matches are played at a variety of venues around England, including the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford, the Sheffield United Training Ground, and the Liverpool Blind Football Centre.
