The Leicester and District Mutual Football League (LDMFL) is an amateur football league in Leicestershire, England. It is affiliated to the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA.

History

The LDMFL was founded in 1920. The original name of the league was the Leicester and District Sunday Football League. The league was renamed to the Leicester and District Mutual Football League in 1970.

The LDMFL currently has approximately 80 clubs and over 460 teams. The teams compete in a variety of age groups, from Under 7 to Under 18.

Structure

The LDMFL is divided into a number of divisions, depending on the age group of the teams. The top division for the Under 18 teams is the Premier Division.

The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the President's Cup.

Recent season

The 2022-23 season is currently underway. The current Premier Division champions are Barrow Town Juniors.

The LDMFL also has a number of other competitions, including the Veterans Cup, the Ladies Cup, and the Disability Cup.
