Stroud & District Amateur Football League

The Stroud & District Amateur Football League is a football league in Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. It was founded in 1894 and currently has 20 teams competing in four divisions. The league is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County Football Association.

History

The Stroud & District Amateur Football League was founded in 1894. The original members were:

  • Cotswold Vale
  • Forest Green Rovers
  • Stroud
  • Stonehouse
  • Woodchester

The league has expanded several times over the years. In 1972, it added a fourth division. In 2000, it merged with the Nailsworth & District League.

Current Structure

The Stroud & District Amateur Football League currently has 20 teams competing in four divisions:

  • Division One
  • Division Two
  • Division Three
  • Division Four

The top two teams in Division One are promoted to the Gloucestershire County League. The bottom two teams in Division Four are relegated to the Stroud & District Sunday League.
