Introduction

The Stratford-upon-Avon Football Alliance (SAFA) is an amateur football league based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. It is affiliated to the Birmingham County FA.

The SAFA was founded in 1974 and currently has two divisions, the Aquaid Division 1 and the Walls & Ceilings Division 2. There are approximately 20 teams in the league, playing each other twice in a season.

The SAFA season runs from September to April, with the playoffs taking place in May. The winners of the Aquaid Division 1 are promoted to the Warwickshire County League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Walls & Ceilings Division 2.

Recent Season

The 2022-2023 season was won by AFC Stratford, who finished top of the Aquaid Division 1 with 82 points. They were followed by Claverdon AFC (78 points) and Shipston Excelsior (76 points).

The bottom two teams in the Aquaid Division 1, Badsey Rangers and FISSC Reserves, were relegated to the Walls & Ceilings Division 2.
