St Piran Football League

The St Piran Football League is a football league in Cornwall, England. It was founded in 2019 to act as a regional feeder league to the South West Peninsula League. The league consists of 20 clubs, divided into five East leagues and five West leagues. The Premier Division of the league operates at level 11 of the English league system.

History

The St Piran Football League was founded in 2019 by a group of clubs from Cornwall and Devon who were looking for a way to improve the standard of football in the region. The league was named after St Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall.

The inaugural season of the St Piran Football League began in September 2019. The league consisted of two divisions, with 10 clubs in each division. The Premier Division was won by St Ives Town, while the Division One was won by Wendron United.

Structure

The St Piran Football League consists of 20 clubs, divided into five East leagues and five West leagues. The Premier Division of the league operates at level 11 of the English league system. The other four divisions operate at levels 12 to 15.

The clubs in the St Piran Football League play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next higher division. The bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the next lower division.

Cup competitions

The St Piran Football League also runs a number of cup competitions, including the St Piran League Cup, the St Piran League Challenge Cup, and the St Piran League President's Cup.
