About SportsForlife SL

Introduction

SportsForlife SL is an amateur football league in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 2021 by a group of passionate football players who wanted to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for the sport.

The league is open to players of all levels, from beginners to experienced players. There are currently 10 teams in the league, each with a maximum of 11 players.

The season runs from May to September, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams at the end of the season compete in the finals.

Rules

The game is played on a full-size football pitch.
The game is played with a standard football.
Each team has a maximum of 11 players on the field at any one time.
The game is played in two halves of 45 minutes each.
A goal is scored when the ball crosses the goal line and goes into the net.
The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins.

Venue
The games are played at the Misfits Arena in Colombo. The arena is a state-of-the-art facility with a full-size football pitch, changing rooms, and a canteen.
