Southern Amateur Veterans League

The Southern Amateur Veterans League (SAL) is an amateur football league in England for players over the age of 35. It is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and is one of the largest veterans leagues in the country.

The SAL was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 clubs competing in its various divisions. The league is divided into two geographical sections, the North and the South, with each section having its own set of divisions.

The top division in the SAL is the Vets Premier Division, which is followed by the Vets Division 1 and the Vets Division 2. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Vets Saturday Shield, the Vets Sunday Senior Cup, and the Vets Sunday Junior Cup.
