South Suffolk Youth League

The South Suffolk Youth League (SYFL) is an amateur football league for players aged 7 to 18 in the county of Suffolk, England. It is affiliated to the Suffolk FA.

Season Structure

The SYFL season runs from September to April. Each team plays a number of matches against other teams in their division. The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.

• There are 8 divisions in the SYFL: U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18.
• Each division has 10 teams.
• Teams play each other home and away.
• The top two teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season.
• The bottom two teams in each division are relegated at the end of the season.

Cup Competitions

The SYFL also runs a number of cup competitions for its member teams. These include:

• The U18 League Cup
• The U16's Cup
• The U15's Cup
• The U14's Cup
• The U13's Cup
• The U12's Cup

The cup competitions are played in a knockout format.
