The Russell Foster Youth League is an amateur football league for children and young people in the North East of England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 clubs and 2,000 players.
The league caters for players of all abilities, from beginners to experienced players. There are leagues for boys and girls, from Under-7s to Under-18s.
The league is affiliated to the English FA and follows its rules and regulations.
The league season runs from September to May. There are two divisions, Premier Division and Division One.
The Premier Division is the top division and is contested by the best clubs in the league. Division One is the second division and is contested by the next best clubs.
The league also has a cup competition, the Russell Foster Youth Cup. The cup is open to all clubs in the league.
