Russell Foster Youth League

The Russell Foster Youth League is an amateur football league for under-18s in the North East of England. It was founded in 1972 and is named after Russell Foster, a local businessman who was a keen supporter of youth football.

The league currently has over 100 clubs and teams, and plays its matches at a variety of venues across the region. The season runs from September to May, and there are trophies awarded for the winners of each division and cup competition.

League Structure

The Russell Foster Youth League is divided into four divisions: Division One, Division Two, Division Three, and Division Four. The top two teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season, while the bottom two teams are relegated.

There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Russell Foster Youth League Cup, the Russell Foster Youth League Challenge Cup, and the Russell Foster Youth League Plate.
