The Peterborough and District Junior Alliance (PDJA) is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 7-16 in the Peterborough area. It is affiliated to the Football Association (FA).
The PDJA was founded in 1960. It started with just a few teams, but has grown to become one of the largest junior football leagues in the country. Today, it has over 200 teams playing in a variety of divisions.
The PDJA is divided into three age groups: Under-7s, Under-9s, and Under-11s to Under-16s. Each age group has a number of divisions, depending on the number of teams entered.
The teams play each other in a round-robin format, with the top teams at the end of the season being promoted to a higher division. The bottom teams are relegated to a lower division.
The PDJA also runs a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the Junior Trophy. These competitions are open to all teams in the league.
