The Oxford Mail Boys League was founded in 1970 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams playing in a variety of age groups.

The league is affiliated to the Oxfordshire Football Association and its teams compete in a variety of cup competitions. The league also runs a number of development initiatives, such as coaching courses and talent identification programs.
