North Northumberland Football League

The North Northumberland Football League is an amateur football league based in England. It is currently in its 99th season, and consists of 20 teams. The league is affiliated with the Northumberland Football Association.

History

The North Northumberland Football League was founded in 1924. The original 10 teams were:

• Alnwick Town
• Berwick Rangers
• Bedlington Terriers
• Blyth Spartans
• Cramlington United
• Newcastle United
• North Shields
• Sunderland Association
• Wallsend Boys Club
• Wooler

The league has been expanded several times over the years, and currently consists of 20 teams. The highest division, Division One, is at level 14 of the English football league system.
