Mid Herts Rural Minors League/Green Division

The Mid Herts Rural Minors League (MHRML) is an amateur football league for boys and girls under the age of 16. It is based in Hertfordshire, England, and has teams from across the county. The Green Division is one of the MHRML's oldest and most successful divisions.

History

The MHRML was founded in 1970 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The Green Division was one of the first divisions to be formed, and it has been running continuously ever since. The division has produced some talented players over the years, including former professional footballers such as David Beckham and Ashley Cole.

Format

The Green Division consists of 10 teams. Each team plays each other twice during the season, once at home and once away. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Yellow Division.

Cup Competitions

In addition to the league competition, the MHRML also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Green Division Cup, the League Cup, and the Floodlit Cup. The Green Division Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the division, and it is open to all teams in the division. The League Cup is open to all teams in the MHRML, and the Floodlit Cup is a knockout competition that is played in the winter months.
