Introduction
The Lincolnshire Girls League is an amateur football league for girls in Lincolnshire, England. It was founded in 1999 and currently has over 100 teams competing in 10 divisions. The league is affiliated to the Lincolnshire Football Association.
The league's goals are to:
- Provide a fun and competitive environment for girls to play football
- Develop players' skills and knowledge of the game
- Promote the positive values of football, such as teamwork, sportsmanship and respect
Divisions
The Lincolnshire Girls League has 10 divisions, divided by age and ability. The divisions are:
- Under-10
- Under-11
- Under-12
- Under-13
- Under-14
- Under-15
- Under-16
- Under-17
- Under-18
- Senior
Season
The Lincolnshire Girls League season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division once, home and away. The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
Cup competitions
The Lincolnshire Girls League also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Lincolnshire Girls League Cup, the Lincolnshire Girls League Challenge Cup and the Lincolnshire Girls League Plate.
