The league is affiliated to the Football Association and its teams compete in the FA Youth Cup.

The league was originally called the Scunthorpe and District Junior Football League, but it was renamed the Liberty Steel Junior Football League in 2021 after Liberty Steel became the league's main sponsor.

Structure

The Liberty Steel Junior Football League is divided into four divisions: Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and Division 4.

The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division at the end of the season, while the bottom teams are relegated to the next division.
