Leafa is an amateur football league based in Romania. It was founded in 1971 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions. The league is open to all players, regardless of age or skill level.

History

Leafa was founded in 1971 by a group of football enthusiasts who wanted to create a more accessible and affordable way to play the game. The league quickly grew in popularity and now has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.

Leafa has produced some notable players over the years, including Gheorghe Hagi, who went on to become one of Romania's most successful footballers.

Divisions

Leafa has a number of divisions, each with its own set of rules and regulations. The top division is the Liga I, followed by the Liga II, Liga III, and Liga IV. There are also a number of regional divisions.

The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing a number of matches against the other teams in their division. The top teams at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
