GFA Walking Football League

The GFA Walking Football League is an amateur football league for people over the age of 50. It is run by the Gloucestershire Football Association (GFA) and has been running since 2017.

The league has four divisions: Over 50s Group A, Over 50s Group B, Over 60s, and Over 70s. Each division consists of eight teams and plays a round-robin format. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs.

The league is played on 3G pitches and matches last for 60 minutes. Players are not allowed to run, but they can jog and use their hands to control the ball.

How to join the GFA Walking Football League

To join the GFA Walking Football League, you must be over the age of 50 and be affiliated to the GFA. You can find more information about affiliation on the GFA website.

Once you are affiliated, you can contact the GFA to express your interest in joining the league. The GFA will then put you in touch with a team in your area.
