About Fife Amatuer Football Assoc

Introduction

The Fife Amateur Football Association (FAFA) is an amateur football league competition for clubs in the Fife peninsula of Scotland. The association is affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association.

The league was founded in 1920 and has three divisions: the Smith & Grant Premier League, the Glendale Plastics Championship, and the Alba Mortgage Solutions Conference.

There are currently 30 teams playing in the FAFA, with teams from all over Fife. The league season runs from August to May.

History

The FAFA was founded in 1920 by a group of amateur footballers in Fife. The first season of the league had just 10 teams, but the league has grown steadily over the years.

In 2017, the FAFA merged with the Kingdom Caledonian Amateur Football Association to create the Kingdom of Fife AFA.

Current Season

The current season of the FAFA began in August 2023. The Smith & Grant Premier League is currently led by Balgonie Scotia 1896 AFC, while the Glendale Plastics Championship is led by Auchtermuchty Bellvue AFC.

The league season will end in May 2024, with the winners of each division being promoted to the next level.
