About ECSFL
East Cheshire Sunday Football League (ECSFL)
The East Cheshire Sunday Football League (ECSFL) is an amateur football league based in the United Kingdom. It is affiliated to the Cheshire Football Association and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.
History
The ECSFL was founded in 1974 and has been running continuously ever since. The league has grown steadily over the years and now has teams competing from all over East Cheshire.
Divisions
The ECSFL currently has six divisions:
- Division One
- Division Two
- Division Three
- Division Four
- Division Five
- Division Six
The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
Cup competitions
The ECSFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including:
- The ECSFL Challenge Cup
- The ECSFL President's Cup
- The ECSFL Knockout Cup
- The ECSFL Charity Shield
The winners of these cup competitions qualify for the Cheshire County FA Cup.
