The East Manchester Junior Football League (EMJFL) is a Charter Standard League affiliated to the Manchester Football Association. It was founded in 1972 and currently has over 300 teams playing in its leagues.
The EMJFL has a pyramid structure with leagues for teams of all ages and abilities. The top league is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, Second Division, and Third Division. There are also leagues for girls' teams and disability teams.
The season runs from September to April, with each team playing 12-14 games per season. The top teams in each league qualify for the playoffs at the end of the season.
The EMJFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the Floodlit Cup. The cup competitions are open to all teams in the league, and they provide a great opportunity for teams to win silverware.
The EMJFL is committed to community engagement. It works with local schools and youth groups to promote football and to provide opportunities for young people to get involved in the sport. The league also runs a number of social events for its members.
The EMJFL is a great place for young people to learn about football and to develop their skills. It is also a great way to make friends and to have fun. If you are interested in playing junior football in East Manchester, then please visit the EMJFL website for more information.
