History

The Durham County FA Elevens was founded in 1883, making it one of the oldest amateur football leagues in England. The league initially consisted of just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.

The league is divided into three divisions: the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to Division One at the end of each season, while the bottom two teams in Division One are relegated to Division Two.

Competitions

In addition to the league, the Durham County FA Elevens also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Durham Challenge Cup, the Durham Senior Cup, and the Durham Junior Cup.

The Durham Challenge Cup is the oldest cup competition in the league, and it is open to all teams in the Premier Division and Division One. The Durham Senior Cup is open to all teams in the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The Durham Junior Cup is open to all teams in the Premier Division and Division One.
