Introduction

The Cork Schoolboys League (CSL) is an amateur football league in Cork, Ireland. It was founded in 1948 and is affiliated to the Football Association of Ireland (FAI). The CSL has over 100 member clubs and caters for boys and girls aged 6 to 18 years old.

The CSL runs a number of competitions, including the Premier Division, First Division, Second Division, and Third Division. It also runs cup competitions, such as the Charlie O'Shea Cup and the Jimmy Barry Murphy Cup.

History

The Cork Schoolboys League was founded in 1948 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first chairman of the league was Mr. John O'Leary.

The CSL initially had just 12 member clubs, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 member clubs. The league has also expanded its competitions to include girls' teams.
