City of York Girls Football League

The City of York Girls Football League (CYGFL) is an amateur football league for girls and women in the City of York, England. It is affiliated to the North Riding County FA.

History

The CYGFL was founded in 2001 and competitive divisions started in 2003/04 season at the U12 and U14 age group. Wigginton Grasshoppers were the first winners at the U14 age group and Brayton Belles at the U12 age group.

Leagues

The CYGFL operates leagues for girls from Under-9s to Under-18s. There are two divisions per age group, with promotion and relegation between the divisions.
