City Junior League

The City Junior League is an amateur football league for women in the United States. It was founded in 1901 in New York City, and is now a network of over 200 leagues in cities across the country.

Mission

The mission of the City Junior League is to "advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training." The league's members work on a variety of projects to improve their communities, such as providing mentoring to youth, running food banks, and advocating for social justice.

Programs

Signature Programs: These are the league's flagship programs, which focus on women and children. Some of the signature programs include the Girls on the Run program, which helps girls develop confidence and leadership skills, and the Healthy Kids program, which teaches children about healthy eating and exercise.
Community Volunteers and Grants: This program provides grants and volunteers to area nonprofits.
Community Endowment Fund: This fund provides grants for crisis needs.
Action Team: This team provides volunteers for events.

Membership

To be a member of the City Junior League, women must be between the ages of 21 and 40, and have a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Members must also complete a training program and commit to volunteering a certain number of hours each year.
