About Central Birmingham Youth Development League

Introduction

The Central Birmingham Youth Development League (CBYDL) is an amateur football league based in Birmingham, England. It was founded in 1999 and currently has over 100 teams competing in it. The CBYD is divided into different age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s.

History

The CBYD was founded in 1999 by a group of local football enthusiasts who wanted to provide a competitive and fun environment for young players in the Birmingham area. The league has since grown to become one of the largest youth football leagues in the city.

The CBYD is affiliated with the Football Association (FA) and follows the FA's rules and regulations. The league also has its own set of rules and regulations, which are designed to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

Structure

The CBYD is divided into different age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s. Each age group is further divided into divisions, based on the level of competition. The top division in each age group is the Premier Division, followed by the Division One, Division Two, and so on.

Teams play each other home and away, with the top teams at the end of the season being promoted to the next division and the bottom teams being relegated to the lower division.

Competitions

In addition to the regular league season, the CBYD also organizes a number of cup competitions, including the FA Vase, the FA Youth Cup, and the CBYD Cup. These competitions provide an opportunity for teams to compete against each other from other parts of the country.
