The Carlisle City Sunday League was founded in 1920 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially consisted of just 8 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 20 teams.

The league has been won by a variety of teams over the years, but the most successful team is Inter Pirelli, who have won the league 12 times. Other successful teams include Dalston, Denton Holme, and Jovial Sailor.

Current Season

The current season of the Carlisle City Sunday League is the 2022-23 season. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division 2. The top 4 teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season will qualify for the playoffs, with the winner being crowned champions.
