About Cambridge University MCR league

Introduction

The Cambridge University MCR league is an amateur football league for graduate students at the University of Cambridge. The league was founded in 1995 and currently has over 40 teams competing in it.

The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier League and the First Division. The Premier League is the top division and the First Division is the second division. The teams are promoted and relegated between the two divisions at the end of each season.

The league is played on a Saturday morning and the matches are usually played at the Cantab Rugby Ground. The season runs from October to March.

Recent Season

The 2022-23 season was won by the Cambridge Assessment team. They finished the season unbeaten, winning 18 of their 18 matches.

The runners-up were the St Edmunds team. They finished the season with 15 wins and 3 draws.

The top goalscorer in the league was Dan Amiss from the Cambridge Assessment team. He scored 27 goals in the season.
