The Bradford and District Football Association (BDFA) is an amateur football league based in the city of Bradford, England. It was founded in 1881 and is affiliated to the Football Association (FA). The BDFA currently runs a number of leagues and cup competitions for men, women, and youth players.

History

The BDFA was founded in 1881 by a group of football enthusiasts in Bradford. The first chairman of the association was Mr. J.H. Shepherd. The BDFA initially ran a single league for men's teams. In 1893, the association introduced a cup competition for men's teams. The BDFA also began to run leagues and cup competitions for women's and youth teams in the early 20th century.

The BDFA has grown significantly over the years. In the 1970s, the association had over 1,000 member clubs. Today, the BDFA has over 500 member clubs.

The BDFA currently runs the following leagues and cup competitions:

  • Saturday Senior League
  • Sunday Senior League
  • Bradford and Wharfedale Junior Cup
  • Bradford FA Cup
  • Bradford and Wharfedale Cup

The BDFA also runs a number of other leagues and cup competitions for women's and youth teams.
