About the Bournemouth Divisional Football Association

The Bournemouth Divisional Football Association (BDFA) is an amateur football league based in Bournemouth, England. It was founded in 1920 and currently oversees the M.A. Hart Bournemouth Football League, which has five divisions and runs five M.A. Hart Cup competitions on Sunday. The BDFA is also affiliated to the Hampshire Football Association.

History

The BDFA was founded in 1920 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The original aim of the association was to provide a competitive and organized league for amateur footballers in the Bournemouth area. The BDFA has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 member clubs.

League Structure
The M.A. Hart Bournemouth Football League is the main league run by the BDFA. The league has five divisions, each of which is divided into two sections. The top two teams from each section at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the previous division.

The M.A. Hart Cup competitions are also run by the BDFA. There are five cup competitions, one for each division. The cup competitions are open to all clubs in the respective divisions.
