Bentham Country Club was founded in 1920 by a group of local businessmen and footballers. The league initially had only four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years.

The league has been home to some talented players over the years, including former professional footballers such as Steve Foster and Paul Warhurst.

Current season

The current season is the 103rd season of Bentham Country Club. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.

The Premier Division is currently led by Bentham Town, who are unbeaten in their first five games. Division One is being led by Clitheroe United, who have won four of their first five games.
