Introduction

The Beds Amateur Football League (BAFL) is an amateur football league based in the Beds area of England. It was founded in 1920 and currently has over 100 teams competing in its various divisions.

The BAFL is affiliated to the Football Association and its teams compete in the FA Vase and FA Sunday Cup.

The league's headquarters are located in Bedford.

History

The BAFL was founded in 1920 by a group of football enthusiasts in the Beds area. The league's first season consisted of just four teams, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in England.

The BAFL has seen many changes over the years, but it has always remained committed to providing a competitive and enjoyable footballing experience for its members.

Divisions

The BAFL currently has 10 divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to Division 10. The Premier Division is the highest level of competition in the league, while Division 10 is the lowest.

The teams in each division are divided into two groups, with each team playing each other team in their group once. The top teams in each group at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being promoted to the next division.

Cup competitions

In addition to the league competition, the BAFL also organizes a number of cup competitions, including the FA Vase and FA Sunday Cup.

The FA Vase is a national cup competition for amateur football teams in England. The BAFL champions qualify for the FA Vase each season.

The FA Sunday Cup is a national cup competition for amateur Sunday football teams in England. The BAFL champions also qualify for the FA Sunday Cup each season.
