The Barrow and District Junior Football League is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 7 to 16 in the Barrow-in-Furness area of Cumbria, England.

The league was founded in 1939 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it. It offers a range of competitions for different age groups, including a Premiership, a Development League, and a number of cup competitions.

History

The Barrow and District Junior Football League was founded in 1939 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league's first season consisted of just six teams, but it quickly grew in popularity and now has over 100 clubs affiliated to it.

The league has been a breeding ground for some of the best young footballers in the country. In recent years, players who have come through the ranks of the BDJFL have gone on to play for professional clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Everton.

Competitions

The Barrow and District Junior Football League offers a range of competitions for different age groups. The top competition is the Premiership, which is for teams in the under-16 age group. The Development League is for teams in the under-14 and under-13 age groups. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the Ulverston Hospital Cup, the Furness FA Cup, and the Dennis Boyd Premiership Cup.
