About Alliance League
Introduction
The Alliance Football League is an amateur football league in England. It is part of the FA National League System at Step 7, the ninth tier of the English football league system.
The league was founded in 1986 and currently consists of 60 clubs. The teams are divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division 1, and Division 2.
The league champions are promoted to the United Counties League, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the Leicestershire Senior League.
History
The Alliance Football League was founded in 1986 by a merger of the Leicestershire Senior League and the Leicestershire Combination League.
The league has been won by a total of 16 clubs, with Coalville Town being the most successful team with 10 titles.
The current champions are Sileby Town, who won the title in the 2022-23 season.
