The Aldershot & District Sunday Football League was founded in 1920 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league initially had just 8 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has over 40 teams competing.

The league has been home to some notable players over the years, including former England internationals Peter Shilton and Jimmy Greaves.
