League Champions!

Wreckingham go into the last game of another successful campaign after finishing 2nd last season, and need at least a point to go one better and win the title. They are already without their most prolific attacker and in form CB... The weather was 10 degrees, overcast with minimal wind, surprising what with storm Eleanor fast approaching.. Game kicked off and wreckingham were very much in control, an early breakthrough when a pass was threaded through to jack and bang! 1-0! brilliant start, after this point it was end to end, with wreckingham passing around outside the opponents box but no luck breaking through and really should of scored some of their chances! suddenly we found ourselves 1-1 with a tap in goal by an unmarked player. HT some positives to go into the second half knowing a draw would get the job done but no Connor likes crucial goals at crucial times, wreckingham a keeper made a de gea like cat save from point blank to force a corner, gathered the ball rolled it to con and he ran the length of the pitch and slotted it under the keeper 2-1! Same again Connor received the ball in his own half and went on another run and slot pass the keeper in similar fashion 3-1! With 5-10 minutes to go Wreckingham dug deep, parked the bus, time wasted, mourinho style! full time whistle blew, both teams agreed it was a great game and the motm goes to myself thanks. special mentions to josh who excelled in the CB role and harry who was pivotal in most of the build up play! and the keeper was consistently solid throughout! peace x
